Bruce Forman, acclaimed a “prodigious talent” by Down Beat and Bill Board, has developed his dazzling guitar signature over 20 plus years as a professional musician. Embracing the spirit of musical freedom expressed by bebop wizards Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Wes Montgomery and others, Bruce has cultivated what Option Magazine calls “a truly original style”.
Bruce Forman’s guitar style has been an important part of the international jazz scene for more than two decades.
He has been featured as leader as well as sideman at most of the prestigious festivals and concert venues throughout the world. His numerous recording and performing credits include the likes of Bobby Hutcherson, Hank Jones, Oscar Peterson, Ray Brown, Stanley Turrentine, Freddie Hubbard, Richie Cole, Joe Henderson, Barney Kessel, Elvin Jones, George Cables, Woody Shaw, Tom Harrell, Mark Murphy and others. Known for his swinging bop-style phrasing and inventive harmonizations, his ability to work in a variety of settings keeps him in constant demand.
